Spring and autumn offer the most comfortable conditions for exploring the Southern Gobi Geopark.

The best times to visit the Southern Gobi Geopark are spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October). During these seasons temperatures are mild, the landscape is at its most striking, and extreme weather is less common.

Spring (Apr–May) — Daytime temperatures 10–20°C, wildflowers bloom across the steppe
Summer (Jun–Aug) — Extremely hot (up to 40°C); plan for early starts and ample water
Autumn (Sep–Oct) — Cool, dry, clear skies — ideal for photography
Winter (Nov–Mar) — Very cold; some routes may be inaccessible
